In order to set up these devices, there are some steps that you need to follow. But not all of you will be able to do it.
These cameras has also various benefits such as security and door locks. Without your permission, no one will be able to trespass on your property. But how are you going to set up the Arlo cameras?
Well, there are two kinds of cameras, the wires one and the Wi-Fi cameras. Today we are going to learn to set up both the cameras.
First, we are going to read the instructions for the Arlo Pro And Arlo Pro 2. You need to sync these cameras with the Arlo base station. This way you will be able to use the Arlo Pro and Arlo Po 2 features as well such as advanced motion detection.
Lets us now read the steps for Arlo Device Set-Up:
- The first thing that you need to do is to open the battery compartment. This way you will be able to press the latch and pull it back gently.
- After that, you need to insert the batteries as it has been shown and close the battery door.
- Then bring the camera within one to three feet to the base station. It could be 30 to 100 centimeters.
- You can sync the camera to the base station. If you are using the base Arlo station, then you need to press the sync button on the side of the base station. You need to do that for at least 2 seconds. After that, you need to release the button.
- If you are pressing the sync button on the Arlo base station for too long, the LED is going to blink the amber light for at least 10 seconds. This means that the sync process is now blocked.
- When you are using the Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 base station, then you need to press the button on the top of the base station for about 2 seconds and then release the button.
After that ……
- Then you need to wait for the sync status LED o blink green.
- You need to press the sync button on the top of the camera for at least two to three seconds and then release the button.
- There is going to be a blue LED on the camera that is going to blink rapidly. This is going to confirm the sync.
- If you see that the LED on the camera is blinking amber, then it means that it is not successful. You are required to repeat the sync process.
- Then you need to check the camera LED on the base station till it turns solid green. Then you must repeat the process.
- Make sure that you repeat these steps for each camera. If you are not able to complete the process within 60 seconds, then you need to press the button on the top of the base station and then try again.
If you are using the wireless Arlo cameras, then there are some other steps that you need to follow.
After that ……
- For the wireless Arlo cameras, the first thing that you are required to do is to unlock the battery compartment.
- You can do it by sliding or holding the latch.
- You can easily slide the battery door back and then you need to lift it to open the compartment.
- After that, you are required to insert the batteries and then close the battery door.
- Take the camera within one to three feet of the base station.
- Sync the cameras to the base station. When you are using the Arlo base station, you need to press the sync button that is on the side. It could also be at the back of the base station. Press it for about 2 seconds and then you need to release it.
- Do not press the button for too long and if you do, this way the sync process is blocked.
- When you are using the Arlo base station, make sure to press the sync button on the side. Press it for about 3 seconds and then leave it.
Wait for the LED light for turning to green.
- Then you need to press the sync button on the top of the camera for about two seconds and then release the button.
- Make sure that all the cameras are synced one at a time. There is going to be a blue light that is going to confirm the process of the sync.
- If you see that the sync is not successful, then there is going to be amber light. You must repeat the process of the Arlo Device Set-Up
- Check the camera LED on the base station, if the LED light is green then the process is successfully completed.
- If you see that the sync process is not completed in 60 seconds, then you have to press the sync button on the base station, and after that try again.
